Needing double-eyelids
This warm night
As I walk about the city

As it takes twice as much
Energy now to open
My eyes & look out at

The loveless world
While I overthrow the Ozone
While moonbeams vaporize

Straight through
To the skull
Candles behind the eyes

I’m just waxing gibberish

Waning & wondering
